Steve Quintero was born and raised in San Francisco. His artisan roots are in photography, woodworking, flat (stained) glass, fused glass and ceramics. He migrated to Golden, CO in 1985. After becoming disenchanted with flat and fused glass, he turned to the "hot" stuff.

Steve feels that the concept of creating beautiful three-dimensional objects from melted sand is

spiritual in nature. He melds the transparent nature of glass with patterns to create these unique pieces. He allows the piece to flow and draw the viewer into its beauty.

"I will work in hot glass as long as my mind and body allow."

His influences include master artisans Dan Fenton, Paul Marioni and Paul Lockwood.
